AUCTION

How do I make a bid?
Click on Auction Items, select the item you want to bid on and click PLACE BID. This will take you into that particular item for you to see more information. Enter your desired bid amount and click PLACE BID. If you are not signed in then you will be asked to do so. Credit card information may be required before placing your first bid in order to pre-authorise your payment information.
You will be asked to agree to our terms and conditions. By placing a bid, you confirm that you have read prize descriptions and terms carefully and in full and agree to the terms and conditions of that prize as well as the overall terms and conditions.

How do I know if I have been outbid?
Click on Your Account and then you will see which items you have bid on as well as the status of your bid. You will also be sent a text message and email should another guest outbid you.

What do I do if I want to retract a bid?
Please contact the organiser through the Contact Us page.

When does the auction close?
The auction closes at 9pm on Wednesday 6th December 2023.

How do I know if I’ve won an item?
When the auction closes, your credit/debit card will automatically be charged only if you have won an item. You will then be sent a text and email notification with a confirmation of your payment and prize collection information.

If for whatever reason you haven't paid within four days of the auction closing, we will start offering the prize to the next highest bidder from 9am on Monday 11th December - if you are unable to make payment within this time scale please let us know as soon as possible in case we are able to work around it.

Please note that some items have starting bids and reserve prices on at the request of the donor.

Do the items have provenance?
All items have been donated to St Mungo’s in order to raise valuable funds. Prizes have been sourced directly from the brand, artist, celebrity or their official representatives. Note that any physical items signed by or pre-owned by high profile personalities do not come with a Certificate of Authenticity. Please remember some of these items have been pre-owned so may be in a loved condition.

When will items be sent out?
Once payment has been received, St Mungo’s will aim to send out items within 7 working days. Whilst we aim to post out physical items so they arrive in time for Christmas, this cannot be guaranteed. We accept no responsibility for delays to post due to high demand or postal strikes.

Where possible, physical items will be sent out first class Royal Mail recorded post to addresses within the UK only and will be charged at the following rates which will be added to and reflected in the starting bid of the relevant item:

Small parcels weighing up to 1kg (items valued at <£50) £5

Small parcels weighing up to 1kg (items valued at <£1000) £10

Larger and heavy items will be arranged between St Mungo’s and the winner and please note there may be an additional cost for this.
